Guys

I need some help, we are planning to our data center to move to the new colo facility, We have establish the L3 connectivity (1GBPS) circuit between two data center, The new data center will get all new IP's, so all servers will have new IP's, now I need help on AD and DNS as how this will move to new Data center, Here is what I come up:

Build a new Domain controller in new data center

Add this DC as secondary DNS

Move the servers to new data center,

Change the IP address and DNS - Primary DNS will change to secondary DNS (Which is a new data center)

So the server which are in new DC will talk to new DNS and Active directory and the server which are in old DC will still use the old settings.

If these steps are ok, the question is how and where to make changes for external DNS?

Ask our new colo hosting provider to change the DNS for the servers ?

I really need a help on this, please help guys.

Thanks,

Leo
