At some point last summer the logon scripts that we use to map network drives quit running so seamlessly in the background and would stay on screen with messages like "System Error 85 has occurred. The local device name is already in use." However, all of the drives connected fine so I put it at the bottom of my to do list and told users to just close it out.
This year though I'm seeing more users whose drives won't connect unless I manually run the batch file on their computer. I don't know if it's because of that error, or if it's because the script takes longer to process now and users are closing it before it finishes.
If I disconnect the drives and manually run the script it runs fine (though the command prompt still doesn't go away on its own), but even if I disconnect the drives first, it still gives me the error when I log out...
