Hi all,
Forgive this amateur question - I'm still learning the network admin ropes!
I have made the age-old mistake of booting a PC with a duplicate computer name to one already running on the domain...
I've taken it off, but of course the trust relationship with the domain controller is broken with the original machine.
I know I can fix this by joining the PC to a workgroup, rebooting, then rejoining the domain.
BUT, my issue is this; the PC is hundreds of mi away... I can remote desktop to it still, and log in with a local account (although of course the network logins do not work). Will this remote desktop connection still be accessible when I've moved the pc to a workgroup, so that I can rejoin it to our domain? I really don't want to have to travel all that way just to have to log in and join a domain...
Just thought I would check...
