I am utilizing Folder Redirection in windows 2008 Group Policy and has been working pretty good. We recently had to change servers due to errors and now I am having two issues. First, winXP clients have a "Documents" folder and a "My Documents" folder in their profile. Their local My Documents points to the server "My Documents" but their files are located on the server "Documents". Confusing I know, I am pulling my hair out.
Second, Win7 clients have two "My Documents" folders one with their files and another that is empty. Consequently, the local folder is pointed to the empty "My Documents" folder on the server.
Can someone assist in an effort to consolidate all these folders and get our clients to connect to 1 "Documents or My Documents" folder on the server.
