Trouble adding Windows 8/ windows server 2012 gpo templates

I have downloaded the zip file and unziped it for the templates but they are all .adml and when i try to add them in on the GPO manager it doesnt recognise them . How do I get this sorted as we are about to get some windows 8 pc's
